2nd Grade ELA & Social Studies Teacher
Holy Trinity School, a Catholic elementary school in the Jesuit Tradition, seeks to hire a 2nd Grade Homeroom, ELA & Social Studies Teacher to join our faculty immediately. The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic, high-energy educational team and will have strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Some of the duties and responsibilities include: build relationships with 2nd-grade students all day (sense of humor is required), collaborate with the other members of the 2nd-grade team, follow the O-G-based curriculum for Language Arts, and be flexible. The candidate will teach ELA daily to two smaller breakout groups of ~15 students and social studies class twice each week. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, familiarity with Science of Reading, patience and ability to relate well to 8-year-olds (such a fun age). Learning Support Specialist
We are looking for a full-time member for our Instructional Support Department, as a Literacy Coach and Curriculum Specialist. The applicant should have substantial experience working with students who have language-based learning differences. This position is full-time, benefits-eligible under the umbrella of the Archdiocese of Washington. Pay commensurate with experience. The applicant should be someone who is well-versed in the Science of Reading and has taken part in multiple trainings.
